POSITION OVERVIEW

Infinity Water Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Landman/Land Technician with experience in land acquisition, permitting, surface mapping, surveying, and property records research. This role plays a critical part in supporting our infrastructure development efforts and requires regular interaction with federal and state regulatory agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the New Mexico State Land Office (NMSLO). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of permitting pathways, land use agreements, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring all projects meet compliance standards and move forward efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and secure surface locations for water infrastructure, including facilities and right-of-way easements.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, legal teams, and environmental specialists to support project development.
  • Prepare and manage permit applications, compliance filings, and regulatory approvals with BLM, NMSLO, and other agencies.
  • Represent the company in meetings with regulatory bodies, private landowners, and industry stakeholders to advocate for project approvals.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and adjust strategies to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Maintain accurate land records, maps, and legal documentation.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized, well-organized land filing system to support internal coordination and regulatory reporting.
  • Support in drafting contracts, agreements, and correspondence related to land transactions.
  • Provide regular updates on permitting and land acquisition progress to asset teams and senior management.
  • Support project planning and execution by coordinating with field construction, operations, and management teams.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 7 years of land experience, preferably in the Permian Basin/Northern Delaware Basin.
  • Strong understanding of BLM, NMSLO, and other federal/state regulatory processes.
  • Knowledge of water midstream infrastructure and produced water regulations in New Mexico and Texas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Land Management, Geology, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPL, RPL) preferred.
  • Proficiency in land management software, GIS applications, and property record research tools.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the Permian Basin.
