Dr. Zacariah Hildenbrand received a Bachelors of Science degree (BSc.) in chemistry (2007) and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in biochemistry (2010) from the University of Texas at El Paso. His research has targeted understanding the causes of environmental contamination events and developing effective remediation strategies. He has collected and analyzed more than 1,000 samples from private, public, and agricultural water wells across the states of Texas, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hildenbrand has also served as advisor to the Texas Desalination Association and the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers, the Texas Produced Water Consortium (Texas Tech) and the Department of Energy’s Produced Water Application for Beneficial Reuse, Environmental Impact and Treatment Optimization (PARETO) initiative in favor of greater produced water reuse and recycling in the energy sector.
Dr. Hildenbrand is currently a Research Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas El Paso, and a principal founder and partner of Medusa Analytical, LLC.
