Two IWS Executives Appointed as New Board Members at QRI
Houston, Texas (March 7, 2022) – Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI), an Artificial Intelligence solutions provider that helps oil & gas operators, banks, investment groups, and those in other data-driven industries create value by leveraging Machine Learning and AI, announced today the appointment of two to the board of directors – Mr. Michael R. Dyson as a Director and Mr. W. Christopher Caudill as a non-voting Observer.
Messrs. Dyson and Caudill are currently executive officers of Infinity Water Solutions (IWS), an emergent, innovative enterprise in oilfield water recycle and reuse. QRI’s and IWS’s respective technologies in clean water management present substantive opportunities for joint value creation in upstream and midstream oil operations.
“On behalf of everyone at QRI, I feel privileged to welcome Mike and Chris to this exciting journey of taking our company to fresh new heights as the newest members of the QRI Group Board,” said Dr. Nansen G. Saleri, QRI Chairman & CEO. “Both gentlemen’s backgrounds in energy and entrepreneurship offer a compelling match to QRI’s vision for the future.”
Michael R. Dyson currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of IWS, and managing director of Mako Strategies, a venture capital firm. He is a second-generation energy professional with more than 20 years of multi-disciplinary experience, including founding or co-founding seven operations over that time. To date he has achieved five successful exits.
Michael received his BA from the University of Houston graduating magna cum laude, and his JD from Rutgers University graduating Dean’s Scholar. He also graduated from Stanford University’s Business Executive Program. He has served on the boards of various organizations, ranging from early-stage technology to infrastructure to land use. In addition, Michael is committed to giving back to the community, having served in various local, regional and state elected and appointed offices, most notably as Mayor of the City of Rollingwood from 2018-2021, and currently with the Texas Produced Water Consortium as a member of the legal and policy subcommittees.
“QRI is a first-in-class organization, and we are honored and humbled to have the opportunity to work with such a distinguished team,” said Michael. “The energy industry is undergoing fundamental shifts – Dr. Saleri and his team represent a powerful understanding of both existing and emerging industry challenges. We know our shared values and complimentary experiences will ensure IWS and QRI continue to deliver industry-leading services, as we pioneer the future of energy.”
W. Christopher Caudill is an energy executive with more than 15 years of commercial and finance experience. He currently serves as Chairman, President and Chief Financial Officer of IWS.
Prior to co-founding Infinity, he was a senior executive at PPC Acquisition Co., an EnCap Investments portfolio company in the Permian Basin. Christopher has held executive and management positions in several notable energy firms including working for QRI Group as an Analyst/Associate in 2010 and 2011. Additionally, Chris has worked for two United States Presidential Administrations as a member of the global logistics team in the office of Advance at the White House, was a delegate to the World Economic Forum’s G8 for Young Global Leaders Conference and prior to his career in energy, played professional baseball for the Cincinnati Reds Organization.
Christopher received his BA from Southwestern University in 2007, and MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in 2016 and is an Eagle Scout.
“To know first-hand the caliber of organization and the caliber of people, makes it a special honor for a once-QRI Analyst to return as a QRI Board Member,” said Chris. “A critical aspect of developing any oil and gas reservoir is managing the water needs. QRI turbo charges the IWS culture of three-dimensional problem solving, giving us an edge logistically and allowing us to provide solutions to tomorrow’s problems today.”
